I smell a little money-grubbing going on here. Considering that Larry was a ward of the court and not even living with his parents at the time of the shooting. How fit a pair of parents were these people, really?

I often find myself in the same position as you lately. While I'm becoming more comfortable spending time on my own, there are more and more times that I wish I was more engaged with my friends. Most of my evenings and weekends pass by without the phone ringing, or the only people contacting me on instant messenger are friends in other states often going through the same thing.

I used to enjoy going out on my own whether to meet new friends or just have fun on my own, but not staying in shape has made me a lot more self-conscious about doing so. But I'm trying. My job has been stressing me out so much that I really need to find an escape.

Hopefully we'll both find a solution that works for us.

Chris, wish I was near enough to you to help you out. Telling you to get out there and meet people doesn't really help. For me, it's fairly easy, but I just have to sit down next to someone at a bar and I'll be talking to them in short order. Maybe you could arrange to meet people you know online in real life. That tends to lead to expanding social circles.

I try not to pay attention to too much of it all. Being in DC, we get enough spillover, but from what I can tell neither candidate currently in the running is playing the race card against the other.

Pundits and staffers, on the other hand, well...

Hi Chris...,
I also am a gay man who grew up during the 1960's the point at which you were born.
The United States is such a different place now from what it was at the time of your birth! We live in a time now when Gay guys are much more accepted than they were during the dark period of the 50' and 60's ! My family was told I'm gay in 1982 but it was only 1 & 1/2 yrs. ago that I had the courage to make my declaration to the world " I"M GAY " and move on with my life...my friends say I burst out of the closet...LMAO !!!
I hope our new friendship will be of benefit to both of us...in support and eventually trust !
I look forward to building it , Bro. !!!
