state of the blog

I logged-in to my blog to find it had been ‘hacked’. Some two-bit script kiddie had hacked-in to my blog somehow. Not an issue on my part. I hardly ever post into it anymore. Why should I care? At one time, blogging was young, and I was hopeful this would be ‘the’ way to express myself, since I felt I had a time trying to do it before. I read blogs from all over, fascinated by what people write, and how they can present themselves in a way I all but knew I could not. Then came podcasts, myspace, twitter, et c.. I traveled to more places and met more people. Suddenly, the blog became less important. The original blog got reconstituted. It became nothing more than a repository for my twitter posts and the very rare other post. I express myself more through twitter, flickr and facebook than here. Still, I express things long-form here.

Rather than tearing down the blog. I deleted all the twitter posts, including the one that got hacked. I eliminated all the plugins. If I post here, that is OK. Elsewise, it ain’t gettin’ any fancehr than this. k? ^_^
